The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has released this remarkable map which tracks the paths of all the hurricanes and tropical cyclones found in its vast database. The graphic conveys a whopping 12,000 storms, dating as far back as 1842, and shows which regions of the globe are most susceptible and what areas remain surprisingly unscathed.
