A Zoo of Tattoos

Project ExtInked is a British venture which hopes to raise awareness of threatened species by having them tattooed onto the bodies of volunteers. One hundred such committed individuals were chosen to be "lifetime ambassadors" for various species of endangered animals and plants. The project hopes that the conversations sparked by people inquiring about the volunteers' tattoos will help to spread the word about species in danger. More on the story at New Scientist.
