On May 24, thousands of Rio de Janeiro residents saw a flying saucer appear in the sky over Copacabana beach. The craft, however, was of terrestrial origin-- a design by artist Peter Coffin. The brightly lit disc was actually pulled in the sky by a helicopter. Watch a video of the event here. The artist staged a similar project in Gdansk, Poland in 2008.
