Attack of the Drunken Wasps

Attack of the Drunken Wasps

A bizarre report is coming out of the UK. According to the British Red Cross, a record number of worker wasps have nothing to do, their queens having been fully supplied with nectar, so they are getting drunk on fermenting fruit. This might seem hilarious except that these "wasps are becoming bolder and angrier... and stinging with more frequency." More info, as well as video of a wasp tearing a bee in half, at Huffington Post.
