Behold the Fish 'Tornado'

Marine biologist Octavio Aburto's three year quest to document the remarkable mating patterns of Jack fish has culminated in a breathtaking series of photos. Despite skeptics who disbelieve the veracity or plausibility of the images, Aburto insists they are genuine and capture a rare, albeit natural, ritual for the thousands of fish. For some perspective on the sheer size of the fish 'tornado,' note how Aburto's friend David Castro, seen on the left hand side of the photograph, is dwarfed by the phenomenon. More on the story, including video, at the Daily Mail.
