A newly published study examines the remarkable phenomenon of catfish in southwest France that hunt birds. Researchers spent several months watching as hungry catfish partially beached themselves to grab a pigeon dinner, before wriggling back into the water to consume their prey. The unusual behavior has never been seen among catfish in their native range, according to The Telegraph. Read more here.
