Dark Matter Could Sling Asteroids

The mysterious substance known as dark matter may cause lethal meteors and asteroids to be flung at Earth, according to a new theory by Harvard scientists. A dense disk of dark matter thought to be located in the central plane of the Milky Way could alter the orbits of comets in the outer solar system, and send them our way. More at Space.com.
