Did Earth Have Two Moons?

A scientist has suggested that at one time Earth may have had a second, smaller moon that survived for just a few million years before it collided into our current moon. This might explain why parts of the lunar terrain are mountainous. More on the theory at The Telegraph and PhysOrg.
