'End-of-World' Refuge Closed

French authorities are closing access to a mountaintop location, Pic de Bugarach, on December 21st, as it is rumored to be one of the few safe spots on the planet, when the Mayan calendar cycle ends, and they want to avoid a deluge of believers, sightseers, and journalists. The rumor further suggests that this hilltop will open up on 12/21, and an alien spaceship will emerge to rescue nearby people. More at The Raw Story.
