Europa's Ice Blades

Future space missions to Jupiter's moon Europa (known for its frozen ocean that may harbor life) may face an obstacle when trying to land. Scientists believe the moon's surface may contain jagged blades of ice that reach up to 33 ft. in height, such as pictured in the photo by Dr. Javier Corripio, a glaciologist who has studied similar formations in the Andes.
