Giant Squid Captured on Video

A giant squid has been captured on video for the first time in its deep water environment by a Japanese film crew. The team followed the elusive creature in a three-man submersible at a depth of 2,066 feet beneath the Pacific Ocean. The animal measured 10-feet in length. According to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, the largest specimen ever recorded was 43 feet. More info and video at Mail Online.
