Healing Symphony

Healing Symphony

During his 9/1/04(1) appearance on Coast, Stan Tenen played a composition by Daniel Gil titled The Creation Overture. According to Tenen, Gil possesses a deep understanding of the Torah (Hebrew Bible) and composes symphonies by assigning musical notes to each Hebrew letter from a particular biblical passage. Because of this Tenen believes Gil's music has "it's own healing power."
The following audio selections, while not directly related to Gil's work with the Torah, are from traditional Jewish sources, and likely have not been heard for several centuries.
