Hurricane Frances
Only three weeks after Hurricane Charley pounded southwestern and central Florida, another vicious storm has taken its toll on the weary peninsula. Hurricane Frances, a powerful Category 2 hurricane with sustained winds of 105 mph, uprooted trees, peeled off roofs, and snapped power lines, causing more than 5 million people to lose power.
