Jet-propelled Flying Squid

Jet-propelled Flying Squid

British photographer Graham Ekins has captured rare images of an amazing squid which use jet propulsion to leap out of the sea to avoid predators. The eight inch-long blue creatures can 'fly' up to 65ft through the air using their fins like wings to stay balanced. The photos were taken in the waters south of Japan. More at Mail Online.
