Astronomers Seth Shostak and Alexandra Barnett helped Max Crow design Jo Alien (side view, front view) an animated character that was exhibited at the National Space Centre in England, to explore the question of what an alien might look like. "It's the poster child of aliens," Shostak told National Geographic(1). "A very conventional kind of alien-grey and smooth and humanoid-very anthropomorphic. But an alien such as Jo, "is not really what we expect," he added.
