New Space Currency

New Space Currency

(2)Scientists from the National Space Centre and the University of Leicester (UK) have come up with a new currency designed to be used by space tourists. The Quasi Universal Intergalactic Denomination, or Quid, is made from the polymer used in non-stick pans and designed to withstand the stresses of space travel. Quid "coins" come in different sizes and colors, and are free of sharp edges that could cause damage if they got free in zero gravity. More at BBC News(1).
