Planet Detected in Andromeda Galaxy

Astronomers may have discovered the first planet in another galaxy. Through a technique called microlensing, they detected a world about six times the size of Jupiter, in the Andromeda galaxy, about 2.5 million light years from us. More at Scientific American. Photo by John Lanoue.
