(2)The journal Aviation Week & Space Technology is reporting that scientists working on NASA's Phoenix Lander program have alerted the White House they will soon make an announcement about the "potential for life" on Mars. According to sources, the new data relates to habitability at the Phoenix arctic landing site, not the discovery of existing or past life on the Red Planet. More at aviationweek.com(1).
