Saying 'Good Riddance' to 2013

Cheating spouses, cancer diagnoses, and unfaithful friends from 2013 were all symbolically shredded at the 7th annual 'Good Riddance Day' in New York's Times Square on Saturday. The event allows participants to write down their personal disappointments and disasters from the past year and then discard them in an effort to start anew. The festivities also featured a 'smash zone' which featured revelers destroying outmoded electronics and other objects which proved troublesome to them in 2013. More on the story at the New York Daily News.
