Teen Struck By Meteorite

14-year-old Gerrit Blank of Essen, Germany, was struck by a meteorite travelling at 30,000 mph. The pea-sized space rock grazed the teenager's hand then hit the ground, leaving a smoking, foot-long crater in the pavement -- as well as a a three-inch scar on his hand. There is only one other known case of a a person surviving a direct strike by a meteor. More at Sky News.
