(2)More than 130 fishermen were left stranded Saturday when a giant 8-mile wide slab of ice broke away from Lake Erie's shoreline. The U.S. Coast Guard along with local volunteer firemen organized a massive rescue effort, using helicopters and air boats. One person was found dead in the water.
