Video: Spinning Earth

From their lofty perch 225 miles above Earth, the crew of the International Space Station snapped a series of photos of the planet that were spliced together into a single spellbinding sequence. The video shows the rotation of the Earth, with brightly lit cities passing by, the northern lights shimmering over the horizon in the north, and whole cloud formations moving across the surface of the planet.
