Yangtze River Turns Red

Yangtze River Turns Red

The Yangtze River turned the color of tomato soup on September 6th in an area where it flows past the Chinese city of Chongqing. While the cause of the unusual color has yet to be determined, past incidents where rivers turned red in China were traced back to dumpings by illegal dye workshops. Check out more photos here.
