The Demon Asteroth

Tonight's guest Aaron Donahue has remote viewed The Goetic Demons, which he explains are "72 evocations" that reveal Luciferian aspects. Pictured left (click here for larger) is Asteroth, "an entity not of our solar system," writes Donahue, "that is part of an important process involving Lucifer and the initiation of our human race."

Southern California Wildfire

This NASA satellite photo (click on to view larger) depicts the widespread nature of the Southern California wildfires. Also, Art's friend, Chuck Racer has sent in two new images of the fire in Simi Valley. View Photo 1,Photo 2, Previous Photo.

Life on Mars

Tonight's guest Gordon-Michael Scallion gleaned material from his "dream teachers" while in a trance state, about a civilization that once flourished on the Red Planet. "The Martians were more like the giants -some twenty-one feet tall- who first evolved during the early days of Earth," he writes in his Notes from the Cosmos. Their heads were humanoid in shape, but their skin was a "blue-green color" that was thick, "almost reptilian," he continued. According to Scallion, the Martians achieved a high-order of technology and spirituality, visiting other star systems and making extensive use of time travel. Their pyramids, of which we can still see remnants of, were "cosmic generators," that were used for "intergalactic communications."

The Misty Form

This photo (click on to see larger) comes from tonight's guest Joshua P. Warren, who writes: "It was taken at our Annual Paranormal Conference at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. It shows a guest enveloped in an unexplainable, misty form in front of a haunted mansion. The photo was shot with a 35mm camera, and all other prints on the roll, made under the same conditions, turned out normal."

No More Ice

A recent NASA study predicts the Arctic Ocean will lose all perennial ice by the end of this century. Such an occurrence will have devastating impact on the Arctic region and start in motion a process that will change the climate dramatically. "If the perennial ice cover, which consists mainly of thick multi-year ice floes, disappears, the entire Arctic Ocean climate and ecology would become very different," said Josefino Comiso, a researcher at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md., who authored the study. Already, much of the perennial ice is gone. The following animation shows Arctic sea ice extent from January 1, 1990, and January 1, 1999, respectively. Click the two-directional arrow below and drag it along the timeline to see the polar ice caps recede. As the ice melts, the Arctic waters will begin to warm. With less ice to reflect the sun's rays back into space, the oc

Urantian Paradise

This image (click on to view larger) is from the cover of the book, The CenterWithin: Lessons from the Heart of the Urantia Revelation, coauthored byByron Belitsos, tonight's guest. It represents an artist'sattempt to depict the following description of Paradise, "the cosmiccenter of all things," as revealed in The Urantia Book:"Paradise is the eternal center of the universe of universes and theabiding place of the Universal Father, the Eternal Son, [and] theInfinite Spirit ... The personal presence of the Universal Father isresident at the very center of [Paradise]. This Paradise presence of theUniversal Father is immediately surrounded by the personal presence ofthe Eternal Son, while they are both invested by the unspeakable gloryof the Infinite Spirit. God dwells, has dwelt, and everlastingly willdwell in this same central and eternal abode. We have always found himthere and always will. The Universal Father is cosmically focalized, spiritually

Huge Sunspot

Just Say No to NASA

"Although it is essential that the United States continue manned space exploration, it is time someone in Congress finally said no to NASA…and give the job to someone else," writes tonight's guest Robert Zimmerman in an op-ed piece that ran in USA Today last month. To back up this assertion he cites how NASA, since the 1980's, has spent nearly $5 billion dollars in projects that have never got off the ground. These scuttled ventures include the National Aerospace Plane ($1.7 billion/drawing pictured left), the X-33 spacecraft ($1.2 billion) and the Space Launch Initiative ($800 million in blueprints). Zimmerman advocates a return to a 1960's-style NASA when "the agency merely laid out general specifications for competing private companies," which were able to "quickly and cheaply produce new rockets, capsules and lunar landers." Several American rocket companies were struggling to finance their launch systems during the years NASA "was wasting a fortune," Zimmerman pointed out

Exploring Altered Consciousness

Tonight's guest, intrepid researcher and remote viewer, Stephan Schwartz (pictured left) spent a week undergoing the "Gateway Voyage," at the Monroe Institute, which he documented in his article The Path of Sound. The program, he writes, involved the passage through various states of states of altered consciousness that are achieved through listening to tapes developed by the late Bob Monroe (who had become known for his out-of-body experiences). Voyagers at the Institute should not expect Holiday Inn-style accommodations. But then they didn't come here to watch HBO and lounge by a swimming pool. CHEC Units (Controlled Holistic Environmental Chambers) were just big enough for a single bed and small cabinet, Schwartz reported. However, each room was set up as a receptacle for the tapes, with headphones and "and a control panel for sound and light built into the wall." The tapes, which are a core part of the Voyage, employ Monroe's "Hemi-Sync" process, a combination of beats, t

Friday Night Feature: Tales of Indigo Children

Some children born approximately between 1978 and 1988 are said to have special abilities and experiences, and have been labeled the Indigo Children. This week we bring you some of their tales: I was born in 1989 and I have this "sixth sense." Even though I can't hear or see it, I can tell when someone turns on something electronic that has a high current like a computer or TV. I can also tell when lightning will strike because I guess I can sense the build up. Justin M.Yes, I'm an indigo child born on this day (Oct 17) 1975. I am very psychic, can manipulate mass weather systems (ex. what a nice, cool summer we just had in Baltimore, where I live) and communicate with the other side, among many things. I am an orchestra conductor and learned my craft from a famous deceased conductor. I am learning how to tap the library from the inside (library of the universe). Amy W. maestradiva@hotmail.com I was born in 1978, so I fall under the dates and I have a special abi

The Cottingley Fairies

Photos of "garden fairies" taken by two teenage girls in Cottingley, England in 1917 aroused a great deal of curiosity. While the photos were largely discredited, they were championed by such illustrious figures as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in their day. Click here to view images.

Special Report: Bay Area UFO Expo

This past weekend I beamed down to the 5th Annual Bay Area UFO Expo, which featured a bounty of interesting presenters. One of whom, was the man called "the most controversial speaker in the world," David Icke. I sat down with Icke for a 90-minute interview which will be featured in the December issue of After Dark. The distinguished Robert O. Dean, looking dapper with his grey ponytail and walking cane was the recipient of the Expo's 2003 Maverick Award. I caught his stirring talk that provided answers as to who the extraterrestrial presence is and why they are here. According to Dean, there are at least four ET species interacting with Earth, and at least one of them is a "Type 2" civilization (capable of using the energy of an entire solar system). Dean said that ETs are conducting mining operations on such places as our Moon and the rings of Jupiter, and that he has photos that demonstrate this. Further, our planet is seen as an abundant "zoological garden" to them, open for g

Friday Night Feature: Darkside Tales

The Rasping Demon By Jerry About 14 years ago, I still lived at home. One night my brother, who was about 15, was in my room and we were playing a game of Nerf basketball on a chilly March night. Everyone else in the family was gone for the evening. My brother and I were the only ones home. We received a phone call-- it was my brother's friend, Junior. They began conversing about a game of Dungeons & Dragons that they had been playing, and began talking about a demonic spirit that they had fought in the game with their characters. Around that time they noticed a sound on the phone. They both began talking about the weird raspy noise that would come and go. I asked my brother to put the phone on speaker so I could hear it. He did, and to me it sounded like a person making a hard raspy out-breath. It was a haaaaaaaaaah type sound. I asked Junior if anyone was at home at his house and he swore that he was alone. I spoke to directly to the sound and told it to do it once for yes

An Alien Face

Tonight's guest, Phillip Krapf will be discussing his encounters with the "Verdant" ETs. In tandem, we present "Noo Noo," by the artist Jenaro Pagan (realmsofnowhere). Pagan based the drawing on an image he'd seen of an "ancient astronaut" in an Egyptian mural. Click here to view larger.

Me & My Shadow

Tonight's guest Debbie Ford offers a transformative workshop called The Shadow Process, which seeks to put her clients in touch with all aspects of themselves. It was the pioneering psychotherapist Carl Jung who labeled the shadow as one of the four archetypes that he believed serve as an unconscious blueprint for our existence. In Jung's view, the shadow "is an expression of the base, antisocial desires of which we are ashamed and attempt to bury in the unconscious: it is the inner terror that we feel might impel us to dark deeds should we ever lose control," writes David Fontana in the The Secret Language of Symbols. Jung struggled with his own inner shadow and depicted it in his Red Book painting (left). He personified it "as some cloak-and-dagger figure cowering against the far corner of the walls," writes Laurens van der Post, who added that the placement of the figure indicated that Jung "had this aspect of himself 'cornered' at last." --L.L.

Alien or Demon?

Tonight's guest, author Hugh Ross has examined the question of alien phenomena from a traditional Christian perspective. He has suggested that those who witness UFOs or undergo "alien abduction," may have opened themselves up to these experiences through occult associations. In an article posted on Ross' website, titled Alien Encounters Fail the Test, Kenneth R. Samples writes that "demons" could be behind contact encounters. "The contactees may, at times, be experiencing real contact with an objective reality, but, in such instances, that reality would indeed be what the Bible calls the power of darkness," he states. And while Samples acknowledges many believe their contact experiences are benevolent in nature, he argues the source they arise from is suspect. However acclaimed researcher John Mack writes "many abduction experiences are unequivocally spiritual, which usually involve some sort of powerful encounter with, or immersion in, divine light," and that many of the

Alone in the Dark

Yesterday President Bush signed the Homeland Security Appropriations Bill, which commits $31 billion to securing the U.S. against terrorist attacks. Included in that price tag is $84.2 million for infrastructure vulnerability and risk assessment, part of which will go to evaluating the U.S. power grid — a grid that has been widely criticized of late. It's easy to understand the criticism. Millions lost power during Hurricane Isabel, some still without electricity. Two months prior, the largest blackout in U.S. history left millions more stranded without power. It is clear the nation's power grid needs not only physical improvements, but competent management as well. This will take money and time. It is imperative, however, that we fix the weaknesses in our energy infrastructure, or we may soon find ourselves alone in the dark (again). --S.L.
