An invisibility cloak could be just a couple of years away if physicist Ulf Leonhardt has his way. The St Andrews University professor thinks he can develop a special material capable of bending light around itself, effectively making whatever it surrounds invisible to the naked eye. A mysterious sea creature, dubbed 'muck monster,' was caught on tape by Greg Reynolds of LagoonKeepers.org at Lake Worth Lagoon in Palm Beach County, Florida. Marine expert Thomas Reinert studied the video but was unable to make an identification. Reynolds' associate Don Serrano recalls seeing something strange move through the water. The new technology utilizes Nintendo Wii hardware and ultrasonic waves to create the sensation of touch. Phyllis Abbott, 79, and husband George, 84, discovered a deadly tropical plant called the Devil's Snare growing in their Suffolk, UK garden. It is normally found in the Amazon and used by South American Indians to poison their hunting weapons. The plant's venom causes blurred vision and hallucinations, and can lead to coma and death.
