Residents near Torrington, CT have reported seeing a strange undulating light (pictured) in the sky on March 4, 2009. Accounts indicate several motorists witnessed the UFO and a number of cars lost power as the craft passed overhead. In one report, a person claims to have encountered a military presence in the woods and been ordered to leave the area. Further details at UFO Digest.
A 12-year-old student from Bucks County, Pennsylvania noticed a blue light shining through his bedroom window, grabbed his Kodak Easy Share camera, and snapped images of the strange object (pictured). The young man said the light was probably 20 miles away and about 50 feet above the rooftops. It also appeared to be stationary, disappeared within 60 seconds, then reappeared an hour later, the student reported. More details and photos at examiner.com.
On Friday morning, east of Wichita, Kansas, a man photographed an unusual aerial object that has been garnering attention. Dirk Vander Ploeg, who originally received the photo at UFO Digest, speculates the object could be a new technology fighter jet. More at the Wichita Eagle.
On January 4th, a large turbine at a wind farm in Conisholme, England was damaged, with one blade falling off, another badly bent. Locals said they saw a "tentacle"-like UFO in the sky near the wind farm on the night before the damage was discovered. More at the Louth Leader.
CNN's American Morning is presenting a series of reports this week called "In Search of Aliens." The first, Alien Believers Among Us, offers a somewhat open minded examination of the UFO phenomenon, and includes an interview with Edgar Mitchell. Tuesday's report, Roswell Revisited looks at how the town is "peddling the alien trade."
First hour guest, media personality Rob Simone discussed his research into ufology. There are specific references in the Koran to entities, which could be interpreted as being ETs, he said. According to Robert Collins,this photo may be a legitimate image of an 'EBEN' (extraterrestrial biological entity). Taken from a 3-second video clip in the documentary UFOs: Fifty Years of Denial, the image shows bruising on the neck and face, possibly indicative of crash injuries, writes Collins. In the second half of hour one, Ruben Uriarte and Noe Torres spoke about the 1974 UFO case known as Mexico's Roswell. In January 2007, the two investigated the site of the incident in the Chihuahuan Desert, just south of the US border. A small civilian plane was said to crash into a silver disc-shaped object that had been picked up by radar. According to their sources, a group of Mexican soldiers died, possibly due to some kind of contamination at the crash site. Subsequently, the US sent in a team that reportedly exploded the deceased soldiers and crashed disc in order to "disinfect the area." One of the topics covered in Jesse Marcel Jr.'s book The Roswell Legacy is the photo-analysis of the telegram that General Ramey is seen holding in the weather balloon "cover-up story" photo (pictured, telegram outlined in red). Photography expert David Rudiak enlarged the photo and was able to read the text in the telegram, which included phrases such as "victims of the wreck." For more, click here.

Taking place through tomorrow is the annual Roswell UFO Festival featuring a variety of speakers and events. Alas, it looked as though the use of two military helicopters for a planned "alien invasion" had to be put on hold, because the choppers were placed on standby to help fight wildfires in the area.
On June 5, 2005, Brian Bessent of Ufotheatre.com claims to have witnessed a series of unidentified lights in the Phoenix sky. Using a Sony Handycam in nightshot mode, he captured on tape several of the flying objects as they joined into a larger formation of lights.
