Here is a copy of something I witnessed and filmed in Playa del Rey, CA on November 8.1997 at 5:47pm. After I filmed this I turned on the news and they had the same footage and said it was a missile launch from Andrews Airforce Base. But that seems hard to believe since the smoke trails had fallen so low over the houses below and it looked like it went right over a plane to the left. And I do not know what the light is above it? This was right to the south of LAX Airport.
