During a tear down of a home in the western part of Los Angeles, one of the workers uncovered this piece about 5 feet under the ground in the back yard. My family always thought it was old backyard décor, but I always had a hunch it could be something else. Recently, I took this to the Antique Road Show where someone that specialized in archeology verified that it was at least 500 years old and not modern man made. He still did not recognize it as belonging to a specific group of people. I have had a few local museums look at it, and I am still getting the same reaction. I am hoping someone out there in the Coast to Coast AM crowd might recognize this, and give me some insight on what it is.
