1993-- Snoopy was an orphaned opossum, (we just call them 'possums' here!) who my dog found and brought to me. At first I thought he was dead, but then I realized by a twitch of his ear he was just 'playing possum'. I raised Snoopy for over a year, from when we first got him in the first pic, to full grown in the last pic. His diet consisted of canned and dry cat food and table scraps. For treats, he loved bananas, any kind of melon, cheese, and cut up grapes! Watermelon was his favorite though!
He had free run of the house, and got along well with our 7 cats and 6 dogs too. He shared the litterboxes with the cats as well. After we had him for a little over a year and he was fully grown, we released him into the woods by our home, and I still care for his great grandpossums to this day, feeding them nightly! He was one of the best pets I have ever had!
Pic 1: Snoopy's size when he first came to live with us, on my hand, which is tiny!
Pic 2: Snoopy eating with Tom, one of our 7 cats.
Pic 3: Snoopy curled up for a nap in my lap.
Pic 4: Snoopy giving kisses to my oldest daughter, Courtney.
