Kate Adamson was totally paralyzed by a severe double brainstem stroke on June 29, 1995. One day she was active, vibrant, physically fit, happy mother of two toddlers. The next morning she was in intensive care completely paralyzed. She was totally trapped in her body screaming, silently, helplessly. Soon after the stroke, she became aware that she could blink. From there, is a remarkable story of her recovery. She is now reaching out to people on behalf of Terry Shiavo, who is in a condition very similar to what she experienced.

Investigative reporter Randall Fitzgerald (doctorluck.com) returned to the show to chat about luck and intuition and the relationship between them.He believes that luck can stem from a person tapping into their intuition about situations, as well as the intentions of other people.The experiences of intuition, he said, strikes people in different physical ways—a prickly sensation, a feeling in the gut or heart, or an adrenaline shot. In fact, he noted that some researchers contend that we have "a second brain in our digestive system."
