Dr. Allan Botkin

Special Guest

Biography:

Dr Allan Botkin, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience in treating patients who suffer from grief and traumatic loss, has made a groundbreaking discovery. He found, as a result of experimenting with variations of a relatively new and very powerful psychological procedure called eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing, or EMDR, that he could reliably induce in his patients an experience that they believed was actual contact with the deceased person they were grieving.

After-death communications, or ADCs, are not rare, and have been reported to occur naturally and spontaneously in 20% of the population. Although ADC experiences have been recognized as very healing, it has been believed for some time by researchers in the field that these experiences can only occur randomly and spontaneously. Dr. Botkin's discovery, which he calls induced after-death communication, or IADC, makes these experiences available to virtually everyone. He and his colleagues have induced well over 3000 ADCs in the last eight years.

After-Death Communications

Induced After Death Communication (IADC) is a therapy for grief and trauma that has helped thousands of people come to terms with their loss by allowing them the experience of private communication with their departed loved ones. Dr. Allan Botkin, a clinical psychologist, joined George Knapp to discuss how he created the therapy while counseling Vietnam veterans in his work at a Chicago area VA hospital. In the first hour, Sky Ships over Cashiers website editor Mary Joyce talked about an ancient race of Little People who once lived in the North Carolina mountains. ... More »

After Death Communication

Dr. Allan Botkin (induced-adc.com) discussed his pioneering method to "heal grief" using Induced After Death Communication (IADC). The IADC process begins by getting the patient to move his or her eyes in a particular rhythmic fashion. According to Botkin, the eye movement causes the patient's brain to enter a higher processing mode where he or she can confront a traumatic memory. During the therapy, Botkin's patients reported communicating with their dead loved ones, and shared some of the same experiences described by people who have had a Near-Death Experience (NDE). Interestingly, Botkin said "only the deceased appear in IADCs." He cautioned that this therapy is not for everyone, as it "takes people to their deepest pain rather rapidly." Botkin claims, of the 3000 patients he has treated, all have been able to resolve their grief. One of his patients, a Vietnam veteran named Mike, recounted the time he encountered his deceased son during an IADC session. Mike said h ... More »
