Biography:

Vito Colucci, Jr. is a former member of the Stamford, CT Police Department where he worked as a Narcotics Detective and Undercover Orgranized Crime Investigator. One of the main investigations Vito spearheaded during that time was uncovering the organized crime ties within his own department.Vito was one of the youngest members ever to receive the Combat cross for a shoot-out he was in. During his time on the police department he also received Valor Citations. Vito graduated from the Arnold Markle Search and Seizure School.

Colucci's Investigations

Detective turned author Vito Colucci discussed his work as a private investigator as well as some of the high profile cases he has examined over the last 20 years.Colucci commented on the trial of Michael Skakel, who in 2002 was convicted for the murder of Martha Moxley. In 1975 Moxley was found dead on her parent's property in Greenwich, Connecticut, after having been bludgeoned with a golf club. Colucci worked for the defense team during the trial and, after hearing questionable witnesses and speaking to Skakel himself, he believes "the wrong man is in jail."Colucci shared details from his work on the case of pro basketball player Jayson Williams. The former NBA star was tried for manslaughter and other charges stemming from the 2002 shooting of chauffeur Gus Christofi.
