Prophecy scholar and expert on Nostradamus, John Hogue discussed the economy, the future of the presidency, possible conflicts with Iran, and Russia, and the identity of the third Antichrist. In one of Nostradamus' passages (Century 8 –Quatrain 28) he wrote "imitations of gold & silver inflated…all scrips and bonds will be wiped out." Hogue suggested this could be a prophetic description of our current financial situation, which he characterized as a "casino economy," in which the house rules were changed. Regarding the election, Hogue predicted a narrow victory by Obama. McCain could possibly win the popular vote, but lose the electoral college, he added. McCain was a case of "too late vs. too soon," missing his destiny in 2000,while Obama may have the opposite problem, arriving at the presidency before his time, he continued. His investigation, he explained, was inspired by the 1926 book Mysteries of the Cathedrals written by an anonymous author who called himself Fulcanelli.
