Lieder believes that in the next couple of weeks a 'Planet X' will pass close enough to the Earth to cause a pole shift and spur many disasters, while Plait sees no evidence for it. The two debated the accuracy of Lieder's previous predictions, as well as the photographs she has posted on her site that purport to show Planet X, which Plait said were misidentifications and "sun dogs" (reflections). Alien contactee Nancy Lieder (zetatalk.com) joined George for the first half of Friday night's show with an update on Planet X, which she believes is drawing ever nearer to the Earth. She reports that X, which she also referred to as a "brown dwarf," can be seen in the night sky as a "red or orange blink—a diffused blotch," but that it's not bright like a star.
