Illustration-- Moon Conjuncts Galactic Center
The event of the the Moon traversing the Milky Way happens for several days each month. However, I noticed tonight how lovely the Moon and Jupiter appear together with the Heart of our Celestial Mother. Although the Moon/Galactic Center event are exact on Sept 25, this beautiful spectacle will continue through Tuesday (September 29) when the Moon will conjoin Jupiter. I submit this image to encourage everyone to catch a glimpse if the clouds permit.
Interestingly, September 29 also marks the completion of our current Mercury retrograde period.
