Rising Vault
My sister who lives in Belmont, Mississippi sent me the email below and the attached pic. She lives across from a cemetery and frequently walks her dog through it. I thought you and the C2C audience might enjoy her story on this Halloween weekend...
Believe it or not, this photo was taken at the cemetery by my house. We have had so much rain this year that this vault has erupted right back out of the ground. When I looked down into the hole on the side, the water is just a few inches below the dirt. It's creepy how it's tilted. It's been reported to the funeral home that buried this man about 5 months ago. As of today, it has risen out of the ground even more as we had an inch of rain today. I was told there are 5 other vaults doing this as well, but I can't see them as I walk the dog. Imagine coming across this as you're taking a stroll with the pup!
