Nature Spirits

In light of the January 22nd show with Christopher Valentine and Dr. Christian von Lahr, I thought I would submit my photo of what Kisma K. Stepanich-Reidling, of the Faery Faith Network, and I believe to be nature/tree spirits.

In June of 2006, my husband and I went to Yosemite with my parents. It was a short two day excursion. We hiked all through the trails, and took many pictures. At one point deep into the trail, I noticed a big tree off the path which had spider webs strewn across the base of the trunk. Well, I had to take a picture. So I broke off from my party and headed to the old conifer tree and snapped a couple pictures.

About two years later I was going through the mass of photos, and saw that the picture with the spider webs had a bright speck. I found this interesting because even though the spider webs were in the shade of the tree, the day was bright and I did not use the flash. I was curious as to why there was a bright speck, and what could it be. So I brought down the contrast to get a better defined view. What I found was what seemed like a little winged creature of light, a pixie.

Then my eye caught another figure just below the pixie, which looked to have pointy ears, and eyes and mouth of light. I then raised the contrast to get better definition of what I think is a tree spirit, perhaps an imp.
