Asteroid Threat in 2182

Scientists have calculated that there's a 1-in-1,000 chance that a large asteroid called 1999 RQ36 could hit the Earth, particularly 172 years from now. The space rock is 1,837 feet across and could cause widespread devastation upon impact. More here.
