Brain Rock
This strange rock has been a constant topic when looked at over the firepit in the backyard. It's organic look (like it belonged to something living at one time) and lines appear to me to firstly remind one of a brain or a tortoise shell. Composition appears to be on granite, very smooth and detailed as in photo. It was found in backyard while digging in the yard [South Hollister, CA about 3 miles from Tres Pinos, located 25 miles north of the Pinnacles].
What is it? Who should I show it to for analysis? Suggestions appreciated very much. I am still curious what this object came from.
