Fairy Circle

On 8/29/2010 I was out walking the dog and came along this fairy circle. Irish folklore claims that if you were to fall asleep in the middle of one of these "mushroomhenges" the fairies come and offer you a meal. However, if you eat it you will be trapped in their world (the Tuatha De Danann) forever. The Fairies referenced in this tale are not the little people that zoom around; these are the giant, glowing, and sometimes sinister beings that at one time Catholic Monks who were spreading the gospels to the "heathens" of Ireland preached that they were actually the fallen angels themselves.

Needless to say, with the way things are going in this world I did consider pitching a tent and trying it out, but I have to be at work early tomorrow and I am not really wanting to meet them if something did take place. Maybe see if Joshua P. Warren could track one down and spend the night and report live from the location, "MushroomHenge".
