Mysterious Thread

On Jan 8th, after a shower & toweling off I noticed a really red hair on my left knee (completely out of place). I grabbed the tweezers and pulled out the hair & headed for the magnifying glass & then the digital microscope. Pictured is a digital microscope image. It baffles me how there's a tight knot in the hair where the threads are coming from. The threads are about 6mm long & super thin.
