In the first half, renowned investigative journalist and author Mark Hertsgaard discussed his latest work on whistleblowers like former NSA workers Edward Snowden and Thomas Drake, who refused to back down in the face of increasingly ferocious official retaliation.
In the latter half, co-founder of the Applied Precognition Project (APP), Marty Rosenblatt, talked about remote viewing with a focus on gleaning information from the future, to use in financial markets and sports betting.
I am a photographer from Iowa and recently took a trip to Key West, FL to research paranormal activity. Last Thursday night (May 26, 2011) my boyfriend and I went on the Ghosts and Gravestones tour of the city. The tour included a visit to the East Martello Museum, where Robert the Haunted Doll "lives." At the instruction of the tour staff, I introduced myself to Robert and asked permission to photograph him. I took a couple of photos with my iPhone, using the Hipstamatic app but did not capture anything out of the ordinary. However...
I also tried using an EMF detector app that I downloaded while other tour visitors used EMF detectors handed out by tour staff. I was unsure as to the legitimacy of the iPhone app (I assumed it was just a toy but still fun to play with), but it did spike very high at the same time the other tour guests' EMF detectors spiked, which leads me to believe that SOMETHING was happening and that perhaps the "toy" had picked up some form of electromagnetic energy.
After returning from my trip and wanting to "compare notes" so to speak, I re-listened to a past C2C show which featured Joshua P. Warren talking about his visit to Key West and his encounter with Robert. He read a letter on the air from a person who had visited Robert and had suffered some slight misfortune afterward. It got me thinking about some of the things that happened to me after meeting Robert...
Two days after meeting Robert we left Florida, but our flight out of Miami was delayed due to weather, causing us to miss our connecting flight in Chicago. We were able to get on another flight out of Chicago that afternoon, but that flight was ALSO delayed because we had to wait for another crew that was late getting in. The airline lost my boyfriend's luggage (though it was on a later flight and was delivered in the morning). Two of my favorite necklaces were somehow broken during travel, which confounds me because they were in my suitcase wrapped up in a padded fabric jewelry bag. I caught a nasty little summer cold the last day of our trip and am still dealing with heat rash and a rattly cough. It makes me wonder - did Robert do any or ALL of that??
