In July 2000 U.S. News and World Report named the world’s greatest mysteries and Jacob Waltz’s Lost Dutchman Gold Mine was listed among such notables as Noah’s Ark, the Holy Grail, the Art of the Covenant and King Solomon’s Mines. During her research on the Lost Dutchman mine, Helen Corbin was given permission to use heretofore unpublished diaries from four pioneer families. The research for the first time in history, documents Waltz from birth to the grave.
