The Other Side

First Half: Between 2005 and 2009, the bodies of eight women were discovered around the murky canals of a bayou town in Louisiana, leading local law enforcement officials to pursue a serial killer theory. Author and investigator Ethan Brown joins George Knapp to discuss how these homicides were not the work of a serial killer, but the violent fallout a brutal sex and drug trade and a backwoods underworld hidden in plain sight.

Second Half: Andrew Cohen is one of the most controversial spiritual teachers of the last thirty years. In 2013, his organization EnlightenNext collapsed amidst claims of abuse and the shocking revelation it had been a cult. Alex Howard, the founder of Conscious 2, and director Meagen Gibson will discuss a new 6-part television series which investigates the danger of unchecked power in the hands of a charismatic leader, and how this co-existed alongside genuine spiritual awakening.

The Other Side

Show Archive
Date: Wednesday - October 22, 2003
Host: George Noory
Guests: Sylvia Browne

Psychic Sylvia Browne returned to C2C to offer predictions and share tales from "the other side." Among her forecasts are the death of Saddam Hussein by the end of this year, a Democratic president elected in 2004, and the possible eruption of the volcano at Yellowstone within the next 3-4 months. "I think the whole thing is gonna blow," she said.

Differentiating her encounters with ghosts and spirits, Browne said that spirits have crossed over, while ghosts don't realize they've passed on and are caught between worlds, wondering why other people are occupying their spaces. Interestingly, she revealed that she can't sleep in a completely darkened room, as she witnesses too much "activity," but a little light diffuses the visible energy of ghosts.

Among the most haunted locations Browne has visited were the former homes of Bela Lugosi and Alfred Hitchcock. Lugosi's in particular, had disturbing ghosts that were drinking blood and shooting up, she said. She also recounted a "conversation" she had with Princess Diana shortly after her death, and was told the fatal car crash was not an accident and that the certain people didn't want her marrying into the Fayed family.
