Prophecy, Popes & the Antichrist

Date: 02-28-05
Host: George Noory
Guests: John Hogue, Steve Quayle, Don Schmitt, Stanton Friedman

John Hogue(1), an expert on Nostradamus and the prophetic traditions of the world, returned to the show to discuss prophecies related to the Popes, Fatima and the Antichrist. The 12th century Irish seer St. Malachy prophesied a list of the Pope's names, that is over 80% accurate, he said. Containing only two more names after John Paul II, the list may actually have been written by a mysterious person in the 1590's using Malachy's name, Hogue shared. While reaching the end of Pope list may mean we are nearing the "great chastisement," such end times ideations can become a self-fulfilling prophecy, in which people create a destiny based on their programmed beliefs, said Hogue.
It's uncertain whether the third secret of Fatima was ever truly revealed, though Hogue suggested the version that Cardinal Ratzinger released in 1960, which he interpreted as describing a cataclysmic outcome to the Cuban missile crisis, may have been it.
We're in the era of the third antichrist that Nostradamus foresaw, said Hogue, who believes this person will become known as such within the next four or five years. In one of his quatrains, Nostradamus named this antichrist as Mabus. The most likely candidates to be Mabus, based on anagrams, are either Usama (Bin Laden) or GW Bush, noted Hogue. He also related a Nostradamus quatrain, that refers to "Dubieux" or the dubious one, which he thinks may be a reference to Bush's nickname Dubya. From his study of "political astrology," Hogue predicts Bush will enter a difficult time frame running from the end of July through October.

Invisibility Breakthrough?

Cloaking may not be just for Romulans anymore. A new theoretical development appears to be paving the way for invisibility technology that was formerly in the domain of science-fiction. The concept, proposed by two scientists at the Univ. of Pennsylvania, involves using plasmons, which are odd, wave-like excitations that bounce off the surface of metals. Potentially, the plasmons could be manipulated to cancel out visible light or radiation coming from objects. Read more at LiveScience.com(1).
