Open Lines & Steve Irwin Tribute
| Date: | 09-08-06 |
| Host: | George Noory |
| Guests: | Open Lines, Mark Lerner, Richard C. Hoagland |
During Open Lines, one caller claimed she and some friends were able to levitate a friend above their heads (using the 'light as a feather, stiff as a board' method). J.C. phoned in to sound-off about Star Trek, which according to the infamous caller is "pornographic" and a "shill for the New World Order." He requested George have an 'I agree with J.C.' hotline for people who wished to "profess their love for [him]."
George also offered an 'intuition' hotline for callers who wanted to share stories about how their gut feelings helped them out. Tom from California recounted the time a voice in his head urged him to leave his father's garage. Tom said as he was heading back toward the house his dog ran passed him on its way to the garage, where it apparently bit and drove off a lurking stranger.
In the last hour of Friday's program, George played audio from his 2002 C2C interview with world-famous animal expert Steve Irwin, as a tribute to the recently deceased 'Crocodile Hunter.' Listen to a FREE audio clip: Win | Real
Star Trek Anniversary
The second hour featured Richard C. Hoagland with a special 40th anniversary tribute to the classic sci-fi television series Star Trek. George played audio from a July 28th, 2005 C2C interview with Walter Koenig, who played Pavel Chekov on the original series.
Astrology
In the first hour, George talked with astrologer Mark Lerner, who spoke briefly about the Pluto controversy and astrology, as well as made predictions for October. According to Lerner, the position of Mars on October 5, 6 and 7 will greatly influence militaristic-type events for the United States.
