Last Show Recap

Ghost Investigations

In the first half, clinical psychologist and a professor at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, Matthew McKay discussed how the murder of his son, Jordan, sent him on a journey in search of ways to communicate with him. He recounted his efforts -- including past-life and between-lives hypnotic regressions, induced after-death communication, and channeled writing and how this led to extraordinary revelations about the soul’s life after death, and its future development. This was followed by Open Lines in the latter half.

Ghost Investigations

Show Archive
Date: Thursday - August 30, 2007
Host: George Noory
Guests: Loyd Auerbach, James McCanney

Loyd Auerbach, an expert on ghosts and psychic experience, discussed the field of parapsychology, what it actually covers and how he became involved with it. He talked about the types of phenomena he investigates and the equipment he uses, noting that human beings who have witnessed ghost sightings make the best form of equipment.

Auerbach gave his opinion on EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena), saying one has to be careful how the noises are actually being recorded on analog and/or digital devices, because they might not really be "sounds" but rather noise "effects" caused by the devices. He has heard some samples of very clear EVPs from people he trusts.

He also touched on the "missing keys" phenomenon, photos of ghosts being real or 'Photoshop' modified, Orbs, faith in the afterlife, and the difference between ghosts and "shadow people." Auerbach believes that "real science" will be able to help solve the mystery of ghosts in the very near future.

Solar Ripples

In the first hour, Professor James McCanney, discussed the recent photos and video of the Solar Ripples, mysterious waves which have been detected by scientists for the very first time coming from our Sun.
