During Open Lines, George offered a different special topic line each hour. A former Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy phoned into the 'Bug Stories' line to share a story about his encounter with an alien that looked like a giant praying mantis. According to the caller, the creature was egg shell white with black eyes and stood 12 to 15 feet tall.

Ray from Yucca Valley, California recounted his 'Scariest Moment.' While hiking in Alancha canyon, Ray claims to have stumbled upon a scorpion the size of a small lobster -- more than 8 inches wide and longer than 11 inches with the tail curled over. The scorpion's body was a translucent milky white color with fluorescent green insides, he said. According to Ray, this scorpion was part of a breed that had been mutated from the Nevada nuclear weapons testing of the '50s and '60s.

A caller to the 'Most Embarrassing Moment' line said when she was growing up she would often date her mother's boyfriends. The caller said she was impregnated by one of the boyfriends, who later turned out to be her own father. Some other interesting calls were about creatures from another dimension who eat Bigfoot, the Grim Reaper, and a doppelganger cat. Paul in Salt Lake City, who called back in 2/8/08, told George that he is still being tormented by the spirit of the late Carlos Castaneda.

In the last half-hour, George played audio from his 3/16/04 interview with astronauts Mike Foale and Alexander Kaleri, who were aboard the International Space Station during the discussion.

Houdini Séance & Predictions

In the first hour, Anthony Carr, known as 'the world's most documented psychic,' discussed his play about contacting Harry Houdini through a musical séance, as well as his legal complaint against a Broadway company developing their own musical about the famed escape artist. Carr also brought along an audio clip from the final séance conducted in 1936 for Houdini by his friends and family.

Carr commented on some of his past predictions, including his 9/11 warning in 2000 as well as his 2001 forecast about Hillary Clinton becoming the first woman President or Vice President of the United States by 2008. He also predicted a continued escalation of what he calls World War III, noting that it will "get worse and worse and worse until the whole world is drawn into it."
