In the first half of the show author, professor of journalism, and columnist, Frank Borzellieri discussed his new book The Physics of Dark Shadows: Time Travel, ESP and the Laboratory. He pointed out how many of the bizarre supernatural occurrences on the gothic TV soap opera, Dark Shadows (which ran from 1966-71), have connections to science.
Frank will be appearing at the upcoming Dark Shadows Festival, the official Dark Shadows Convention held annually since 1983, in Los Angeles.
During the second half, George opened up the lines and took calls from those with "Camp Fire Scary Stories".
During the opening news segment, George spoke about the PlanetSlayer Website, which includes "Professor Schpinkee's greenhouse calculator," which tells a user when he or she should die, based on their lifestyle and consumption of resources.
