During Open Lines, callers phoned in with their stories on a variety of topics. Mark in Hilo, Hawaii expressed concern about how our government has been running the country and suggested term limits for representatives. Matt from Seneca, Missouri told George he met a soldier at a gun shop who told him that a National Guard brigade is being stationed in Springfield, Missouri, preparing to help control civil unrest due to the worsening economy.

George from Texas spoke about his frightening encounter with a "hat man" that he saw standing over his bed one night. The caller said he never saw its face or eyes, but the figure was wearing a hat and long overcoat. Eric in Vancouver, British Columbia shared a freaky story about a counselor at an isolated camp who returned from her trip to discover that rolls of her camera film had been used to take photographs of her... while she slept. Several callers talked about the Egyptian pyramids. Janice in Portland, Oregon speculated about how weightlessness produced by monatomic gold could have been utilized to construct the monumental structures.

The last half hour featured George's 3/21/08 interview with singer/actress turned spiritual adviser Helen Reddy, who discussed her life and exploration of higher consciousness.

Astrology Update

In the first hour, astrologist Mark Lerner provided George with three specific dates in the new year (1/9/09, 2/24/09, 4/22/09) that could prove to be especially good for him. Lerner also warned about 3/7/09 and 5/3/09, when astrological conditions indicate difficulty for the stock market and banking. Lerner remains optimistic about our future, though, and believes "there is still an opportunity to transform things rather than for everything to fall apart."

Friday's Big Full Moon

Friday's full moon will be the biggest and brightest of the year. According to NASA, the Moon will appear up to 14% bigger and 30% brighter than other full moons seen so far this year. The reason? The Moon's elliptical orbit causes its distance from Earth to vary. Tonight's full moon will be only 221,560 miles from our planet, the closest it has been in the last 15 years.
